Consistent quality, returning student

This is my third time enrolling with UoPeople, previously for a Certificate in Business Administration and now starting the Master of Business Administration. The academic quality has been consistently high across programs, and the online learning model fits my schedule perfectly. I've always appreciated the clear breakdown of assessment fees and the availability of scholarships to help cover them. Compared to my initial enrollment, the support channels seem even more streamlined now. They've maintained their commitment to accessibility, which is why I keep coming back.

Application process was smooth

I applied for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program last month. The application fee waiver I got from a webinar worked perfectly. The admissions team responded quickly to my questions about transferring credits from my old community college. It felt like they really wanted to help me get started. The information about the assessment fees and how to pay them was also very clear on the website.

Good program, some admin issues

I completed the Foundations of Learning course and generally found it well-structured. The content was clear and accessible, which is great for someone getting back into studying. The tuition-free model is a huge plus, making higher education much more attainable. However, applying for the assessment fee grant was a bit confusing; the process wasn't as straightforward as I hoped. It took a few emails to support to get clarity, but they eventually helped.

Easy to get started

I was looking for something affordable and found UoPeople. Just enrolled in the English as a Second Language Program. The whole sign-up thing was pretty simple, not a lot of fuss. It's cool that there's no tuition. I got my application fee waived, which was nice. Feels like a good place to learn without breaking the bank, you know?

Hey guys, is this place really free? Like, no catch at all for tuition?

J Jennifer Diaz 6 days ago
Yeah, tuition itself is totally free. You just gotta pay like assessment fees for each course, but those can often be covered by scholarships too.

It's tuition-free, but you do pay for exams/assessments. Think of it as like paying for the 'testing' part, not the learning part.

How do you actually pay for the assessment fees? Is it like a one-time thing or per course?

D Deborah Taylor 1 month ago
It's per course you take. You can pay with a credit card online, or they have other options like PayPal or bank transfer if you're outside the US. Easy enough.

You pay for each course's assessment separately. I've always just used my debit card, pretty straightforward process.
